Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubair has moved to fortify his team ahead of next month’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations by extending an invite to SJK of Finland star Sulaiman Shehu, www.aclsports.com reports.

Shehu has had an impressive first season in Finland after joining SJK from Nigerian academy Stars Builders Academy last year shortly after he turned 18.

His performances have now caught the eyes of Zubair who is currently preparing his side for the continental competition in the Northern Nigerian city of Katsina having resumed their final phase of camping last week Monday.

Sulaiman Shehu is an energetic central midfielder blessed with the skillset of a complete midfield player. Shehu’s vision, poise and creativity has been a valuable asset for his side Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho (SJK) and has gradually transited from the B side to the main squad.

Shehu is currently with the rest of the SJK squad in Finland for pre-season and he will be released for the international duty with the Flying Eagles after their friendly game against Swedish top flight side Sirius in Sweden on Saturday.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles won the 2024 WAFU B U20 Championships held in Togo to qualify for the continental championship which will be hosted by Côte d’Ivoire starting from April 26 and ending on May 18.

The four semi-finalists at the tournament will qualify to represent Africa at the 2025 World Youth Championships to be staged in Chile later in the year.

The stars builders academy won the Brazilian brigde scouting tournament by defeating their opponents 3-0. The match was marked by intense competition with both teams creating scoring opportunities. In the end , Stars builders superior strategy and team work paid off , security their victory .

The golden boat was awarded to femi Adetola and also the golden glove was awarded to favor bala , both from stars builders academy. The team coach praised their discipline and determination saying “ we ve worked hard and it’s pays to see our efforts pay off”

Brazilian Club Finalizes Signing of Flying Eagles Striker Oluwasegun Otusanya

Brazilian league outfit, America Futebol Clube PE, has officially announced the signing of Nigeria’s junior international, Oluwasegun Otusanya, on a long-term deal, as reported by aclsports.com.

The Flying Eagles forward, a standout member of the Class of 2023, has signed a four-year contract that ties him to the Recife-based club until 2028.

Otusanya’s remarkable scoring record with FK Haugesund’s B team in Norway last season drew interest from clubs in both Europe and South America. However, the 20-year-old opted to take his talents to Brazil.

A former player at Stars Builders Academy, Otusanya netted 32 goals in just 36 matches for FK Haugesund B. He is expected to significantly bolster America Clube’s attacking lineup in their Serie A3 campaign.

America Clube President, Eduardo Peixoto, hailed the signing as a milestone in the club’s strategy to scout African talent and credited the partnership with Stars Builders Academy for making it possible.

“We are thrilled that Samuel and Stars Builders Academy embraced our vision. Nigerian football has a rich heritage, with players like Kanu, Okocha, Finidi, and Osimhen inspiring us to seek talents at their source,” said Peixoto.

He added that Otusanya’s arrival marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration. “This is the first of many ventures in this partnership. I deeply appreciate the efforts and professionalism of CEO Ayodeji Adegbenro, who expertly handled the negotiations. Otusanya becomes the second Stars Builders Academy graduate to secure a move in recent weeks, following Sulaiman Shehu’s transfer to SJK Finland.

Brazil’s America Futebol Clube PE has officially confirmed the signing of Nigeria’s junior international, Oluwasegun Otusanya, on a long-term deal.

The Flying Eagles striker has committed to a four-year contract, securing his place at the Recife-based club until 2028.

Otusanya’s prolific goal-scoring form with FK Haugesund’s B team in the Norwegian league last season caught the attention of several clubs. However, the talented forward chose to embark on a new chapter with the Brazilian side.

The 20-year-old, who began his career at Stars Builders Academy, scored an impressive 32 goals in 36 games for FK Haugesund B. He is expected to play a vital role in strengthening America Clube’s attacking options.

America Clube President Eduardo Peixoto described Otusanya’s signing as a significant step in the club’s efforts to tap into African football talent through its partnership with Stars Builders Academy.
