Stars Builders Prospect Sulaiman Shehu Signs with SJK Finland

Stars Builders Academy, a club competing in Nigeria’s Nationwide League One (NLO), has confirmed the transfer of their young midfield talent, Sulaiman Shehu, to Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho (SJK), a top-tier team in Finland, as reported by aclsports.com.

Born on May 10, 2006, Shehu has been on the radar of several European clubs, thanks to his impressive development at Stars Builders Academy. His talent flourished during his time at the academy, where he earned the role of young vice-captain.

After turning 18 in May, SJK quickly secured Shehu’s signature, beating out competition from clubs like Leganes (Spain) and Haugesund (Norway), marking the beginning of his professional career as a central midfielder.

“This move to Finland is significant for us, as it reflects the success of our Academy and our commitment to the right path,” said Ayodeji Adegbenro, CEO of Stars Builders Academy.

“Sulaiman is just one of the many promising talents we have, and it’s encouraging to see European clubs recognizing his potential. We believe SJK will provide an excellent platform for his future growth,” Adegbenro added.

Shehu has already joined SJK’s B team and is expected to gradually transition into the first team in the coming weeks.

Stars Builders Academy was also the nurturing ground for former Flying Eagles striker Olusegun Otusanya, who transferred to Haugesund in Norway last year.
